AllianceBernstein promotes equities boss to global head of investments

Chris Hogbin takes newly created role

AllianceBernstein has promoted head of equities Chris Hogbin to the newly created role of global head of investments, effective from the start of next year.

In his new role, he will be responsible for the firm's public market businesses, which include equity, fixed income, multi-asset and hedge fund solutions, investment solutions and sciences, as well as the responsibility team.  By the end of 2024, the firm said his mandate will be expanded to include AllianceBernstein's private alternatives business.  AllianceBernstein picks up Allianz GI managers for European and global growth equity team Nelson Yu, who currently serves as chief investment officer for investment sciences and insights, will succeed Hogbin as head of equities.
