Cohen & Steers' Childers: Prospect of a secular stagflation environment is not unrealistic

Supports real assets allocation

Inflation pressures are set to stick around for longer than markets are forecasting, which supports a diversified allocation to real assets, according to Cohen & Steers’ head of real assets multi-strategy Vince Childers.

Speaking at the first day of Investment Week's debut Alternatives Summit, he told delegates that despite markets forecasting we will soon be back into the post-GFC and pre-Covid world of "low and well behaved" inflation, there are several factors pointing to the opposite.
