The financial services sector is making progress on gender diversity but "as an industry, we are lagging", Megan Butler told delegates at the Women in Investment Festival this morning.
Speaking at the inaugural festival, hosted by Investment Week and its sister publications Professional Pensions and Professional Adviser at The Brewery in London, the Financial Conduct Authority's executive director of supervision said the gender pay gap is primarily driven by the low number of women in senior roles.
