Legal & General names António Simões as new CEO

Legal & General has named António Simões as the firm’s CEO, replacing outgoing head Nigel Wilson.

Wilson announced his retirement at the start of the year, having led the firm since 2012. Simões will take over on 1 January 2024, subject to regulatory approval, with Wilson remaining as CEO until then, in order to continue delivery the group's current strategy, according to L&G.
