Beaufort IM appoints ex-Rowan Dartington equities head as CEO

Discretionary fund manager Beaufort Investment Management has appointed Stewart Murray, who joined from Rowan Dartington last year, as its chief executive.

Murray (pictured) joined the £550m firm in in August 2016 as co-CIO, a role he shared with Stephen Watson. In addition to his new role as chief executive, he will also retain the CIO role, while Watson is stepping down from the role to become a non-executive director of parent company Beaufort Group. Prior to Beaufort IM, Murray was head of equities at Rowan Dartington, and has also previously held roles as investment director at Ashcourt Rowan and CIO at Vintage Asset Management.
