Franklin Templeton bolsters EM team with Ness hire

Franklin Templeton Investments has hired Martin Currie's Andrew Ness as a portfolio manager for the Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust (TEMIT).

Ness (pictured) will work alongside TEMIT lead portfolio manager Chetan Sehgal with Franklin Templeton set to expand his portfolio management duties to additional emerging markets strategies over time.  Update: Franklin Templeton unveils new EM management line-up as Hardenberg departs Martin Currie announced on Friday (20 July) that Ness, a senior member of the global emerging markets team, was leaving the firm after eight years.
