Martin Currie’s head of UK equities Colin Morton is set to retire and see his role split in two, Investment Week can reveal.

Morton, who has worked in the UK investment management industry for over 39 years, will retire effective 31 December 2022. He has worked at the firm since 2011, when Franklin Templeton acquired Rensburg Fund Management, which was later rebranded to Martin Currie UK Equity team. In his place, Ben Russon and Richard Bullas will co-head the firm's UK Equity team from 1 October, with Russon focusing on UK large-caps and Bullas leading on small- and mid-caps.
