Look past unconscious bias

"I am not telling women to be like men. I am telling us to evaluate what men and women do in the workforce and at home without the gender bias.” 

Wise words from Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of Meta Platforms, and very pertinent for International Women's Day's #BreakTheBias theme. She is absolutely right that people should be judged by their actions rather than who they are.  There has been much progress made on this, but there is still a lot more work to do. Quite rightly the focus is on unconscious biases. The tendencies that we are aware of are, by definition, easier to tackle.
