Alison Platt assumes role as Hargreaves Lansdown chair

Alison Platt has begun her tenure as chair of Hargreaves Lansdown, with effect from today (6 February).

Following the granting of regulatory approval, the new chair has taken over from interim chair Penny James, who took on the role following the resignation of Deanna Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer withdrew her resolution to seek re-election at December 2023's annual general meeting one week before shareholders were set to convene.
