Octopus Apollo VCT launches £35m fundraise

Octopus Investments has embarked on a £35m fundraise for its Apollo venture capital trust.

This is the third round of fundraising for the portfolio in the past 18 months, with the management launching a £35m fundraise just over 12 months ago. The portfolio is invested in about 45 smaller business-to-business software companies, which are typically more early stage. The management team sits within Octopus Ventures, the firm's European venture capital team, and is made up of 13 members.
