Schroders CEO Peter Harrison: 'Private is a much easier place to exist than public'

Schroders group CEO Peter Harrison has argued companies have an easier time existing in the private space than in public markets.

Speaking at the Schroders London Conference on 25 January, attended by Investment Week, Harrison said the relationship between public and private markets will be a "defining characteristic" in the future. Deep Dive: Can the UK be an IPO hub? "The reality is that every private markets firm is trying to get into public and every public firm is trying to get into private," he said.
